Feedback-Laden Fantasies

“Feedback-Laden Fantasies is about coming out of a dark depression, and entering into a surreal, dream-like state, full of secrecy and paranoia; a dystopic nightmare seemingly foreshadowing an apocalyptic climax.

It is also the heat, sweating out a fever, not a physical ailment, but a spiritual disease; trying to exorcise inner demons.

The album never comes to a fiery ending, nor does it end in victory.  The album is just a sort of realization, not a complete healing process, but a recognition that the soul is in a dire situation.  It is admitting things are bad, but embracing health, avoiding a bleak future, but still far from the end of the path.

The progress grows, from the first track’s hazy experimentation, discovery, and bliss ignorance, to the second’s burning emotion, as the sun sets and shadows dance while demons are cast out, finally ending in the third track’s rediscovery of creativity, and hope, gaining control over your life, and once again finding beauty.”
